Distraction #3: Doubt

Me: "I host God's homepage on the internet.  We're working toward a Universal Season of God Consciousness."

Response: "Do you really expect us to believe you have God's Mind in you?"

I've made the point before, so I will be brief here:

  • The left-hand pathway ignores all comments anyone makes.
  • The right-hand pathway lives its life according to others.
  • Only the Central Pathway, the Middle Road, the Narrow Way, leads to life.

It is just as wrong to ignore people's comments as it is to let their doubts cause you to doubt yourself.

Honest, open examination does not mean endless self-doubt.

For me, yes, I know, I do know, that YHWH's blood pumps through my veins, that the Christ-Child, Who's birth the world pretends to commemorate Monday, really does live in me, still growing, expanding to fill me with the Fullness of God Himself.

So there they are, the 3 distractions:

Rejection, Results, and Self Doubt.

The only healthy way I know to deal with them is through the Middle Way, turning neither to the left nor the right.

Matthew 7:13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road
that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and
narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but
inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do
people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17Likewise every
good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot
bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not
bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus, by their fruit you
will recognize them.
