There are people who fear nothing in this world

except the songs of sirens,

voices of irresistible sweetness

that distract explorers from their path

and lead them to their death.

If they offered music to the darkness,

trusted their own sound

when they could not see,

they would serenade the sirens

and travel safely through the night.
